ASUS Eee PC T101MT review

Engadget
Bad news. Engadget gives both the T101MT & the previously reviewed S10-3T the thumbs down. Wonder what they think of the Gigabyte T1000P...

More convertible tablets reach our shores

After reading a HWZ forum thread that mentioned the local availability of the HP TM2, I visited the Challenger store at Funan to take a look. The model on display was TM2-1011TX, meaning a 1.3GHz SU7300 CPU & a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 graphics chip. Current price is S$1,599.

But I was surprised to see the Asus T101MT at AAAs & South-Asia Computer (selling for S$798). I noticed the battery was located in front, below the keyboard. I suspect this will preclude a larger capacity battery. The screen was not too glossy (nice), and the chiclet keyboard made it look modern and sleek.

But I'm still a bit concerned about its puny N450 CPU...

Asus EEE PC T101MT review

Asus EEE PC T101MT second review
A review of the super-delayed convertible netbook from Asus. It seems more & more users are no longer willing to accept the slow Atom processor. I hope more manufacturers will exploit this and come out with more models with CULV chips. (currently HP TM2 & Acer 1820PT)
