Google Scholar
The ingenuity of google never ceases to amaze me. This would have helped me for my dissertation research. Now also using Gmail and, I must say, I'm keen to abandon my old email accounts. The 1GB capacity is the feature that gets drummed up, but I think the other features like grouping of emails and their replies together, the ability to show all emails together [Inbox, Sent, Draft] are the real goodies. I haven't had the chance to put google scholar through its paces yet, but initial impressions are good.
